Is It Safe To Explore The London Skyline At Night?

Generally, London is considered one of the safest cities in the world. The entire Central London is well-lit all around the night and you will rarely find yourself alone in the city even at night.

Public transport runs 14 hours a day, so it is easier to get around the city even in the dark.

However, if you are an outsider and do not know the city completely, you should be sensible in choosing the location to explore the London skyline at night.

Here, I am including a range of places in the city that are considered the safest locations even when the sun goes down.

They include Covent Garden, Camden, Elephant and Castle, Hackney, Leicester Square, Shoreditch, and more.

However, if you planning to explore the London skyline at night, you must mind your belongings. My opinion is that you must be aware of your phone in Central London now.

It is the location, where I lost my phone because of a theft.

So, after evaluating all the facts, I can tell you that yes, you can go ahead with exploring the London skyline at night while being aware of your surroundings.

    The Best London Skylines

I have been taking cityscape images for several years in London. So, I have gained a little knowledge about the top photography spots for the London skyline at night.

Now, I am going to share a few of the spots here so that you can plan accordingly.

The Shard is the most expansive view spot in London and this 87-storey skyscraper offers 360-degree views of the cityscape including an expanded London skyline that is breathtaking.

You can continue taking pictures of the London skyline as much as you want. So, you can bring your tripod and come after dusk.

This so-called walkie-talkie is designed in such a way that it is the right place to capture aerial views of the London skyline.

However, the real fact is that the photographs taken from the Shard are the best. Here, admission is free but booking tickets in advance is a must.

So, just come on visit this place and have some amazing skyline pictures after the sun goes down.

    4. Heron Tower

In this area, I have two favourite spots such as Sushi Samba and Vertigo 42. Both these locations seem to be similar and I like both of them too.

However, according to some renowned photographers, Heron Tower is one of the best photography spots for the London skyline at night.

The glass elevator of Heron Tower will take you to the top. So, if you desire to capture photos or videos of the expanded London skyline, you can consider Heron Tower.

    Conclusion

Photographing the London skyline will be a wonderful experience. So, if you have decided to spend an entire night photographing the London skyline, it is going to be such an amazing day in your life.
